Croatan Institute President speaks at Community Foundation Circle event
Croatan Institute President and Senior Fellow Joshua Humphreys presented at the Community Foundation Circle Fourth “Immersion,” which took place at Evins Mill in Smithville, Tennessee, from March 7-9. The initiative was organized by the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE) and RSF Social Finance, with advisory support from Mission Investors Exchange and The Democracy Collaborative.
During his presentation, Humphreys spoke about the opportunity for community foundations to activate a fuller range of their assets in mission investments that have positive social and environmental impact and durable community economic development.
This was the final of four immersions among this community of practice, which includes 13 leading community foundations with more than $4.5 billion in collective investments.
