Croatan Institute presents on clean energy bonds webinar

January 15, 2015

Over 70 people attended yesterday’s webinar, “What Investors Want: How to Scale Up Demand for US Clean Energy and Green Bonds.”

Hosted by the Clean Energy Group, the webinar presented the first comprehensive study of U.S. institutional investors’ appetite for green bonds. Speakers included Rob Sanders from Clean Energy Group and President and Senior Fellow Josh Humphreys from Croatan Institute.

A recording of the webinar is available here, and a pdf of the slides can be found here.

The webinar was well attended by stakeholders including investors, issuers, underwriters, press, and officers from non-profits and philanthropic foundations. Many attendees asked important questions, and others shared positive feedback after the presentation.

Based on a study released last month by CEG and Croatan Institute, this presentation provided a blueprint for growing the market for fixed-income securities to finance clean energy projects and solve climate problems. The webinar highlighted numerous ways to increase the flow of clean energy bond finance deals.
