Croatan Institute Senior Associate Christi Electris presented at the “Invested in Change: Climate, Capital and the Power of Collaboration” Roundtable on April 30 in Cincinnati, Ohio. The event was co-hosted by the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility (ICCR) and Xavier University.
Electris spoke on a panel titled Productive Engagement: How Collaboration Leads to Changes, which focused on what it takes for investors and corporations to work together and why engagement works. The panel also included Clare Iery of The Procter & Gamble Company, Jim Sluzewski of Macy’s, and Scott Hassell of Fifth Third Bank. ICCR’s Susana McDermott moderated the discussion.
During the presentation, Electris highlighted the work of the Impact of Equity Engagement (IE2), an initiative led by the Croatan Institute, which will provide a way for investors to track and evaluate the impact of their engagements. For more information, please visit the IE2 program page and the read our publication, Evaluating the Impact of Shareholder Engagement in Public Equity Investing.
