Grassland 2.0 is a collaborative group of farmers, researchers, and public and private sector leaders working to develop pathways for increased farmer profitability, yield stability and nutrient and water efficiency, while improving water quality, soil health, biodiversity, and climate resilience through grassland-based agriculture.
This project was recently featured in an AgFunder article and quoted Croatan Institute Senior Fellow David LeZak’s work on the newly founded Green Grass Financing Facility which will help explore financial support for grassland agriculture transitions: “Applying a more holistic, true cost-accounting lens to the next generation of financial mechanisms will help to provide more appropriately structured capital as these transitions are navigated.”
