On December 8th, Senior Fellow David LeZaks participated in a panel during Savanna Institute’s Perennial Farm Gathering summit to discuss new developments in financing agroforestry.

The panel discussed pathways to attract appropriate finance to scale agroforestry as well as the importance of finding capital that supports production and other aspects of the supply chain including processing, storage, branding, and markets that value the premium attributes of regeneratively grown nuts and fruits.

David also highlighted the work coming out of the recently completed Soil Wealth Areas CIG that helped open a new route for financing agroforestry and grazing through the recently amended Wisconsin Property Assessed Clean Energy program.
