There are practical ways to invest in regenerative agriculture and farmers in the US, while building community wealth and ecological resilience. We are on a mission to demonstrate the potential of Soil Wealth and transformative finance—and we invite you to join us.
We will be hosting screenings in cities across the nation on our film tour. Whether you are a volunteer group, a student club, or mission-aligned company, please contact us at soilwealth@croataninstitute.org with the subject line “Interested: Soil Wealth Film Screening” to explore partnering with us to host a unique event and bring action to your networks.
About the films

Our premiere short film, with support from Patagonia and Waverley Street Foundation, features farmers and capital providers we have partnered with over the years to demonstrate effective, market-based solutions for funding the future of resilient, sustainable economies.
To pair with our film, we are also screening the recently released documentary Digging In produced by Sustainable Agriculture & Food System Funders (SAFSF), focused on the US agricultural system and who controls our food and farmers.
FILM SCREENING FAQs
The Soil Wealth film is approximately 9 minutes long. The Digging In documentary is 40 minutes long. We recommend allotting one hour total of screen time for both films.
Our film is for anyone who cares about food systems, climate, equitable finance, and thriving communities.
While our work is geared towards investors, capital providers, and frontline communities, all are welcome to learn and engage with our resources.
Our events can be open to the public, and we are open to partnering with a wide variety of audiences.
Our events typically consist of three parts:
- film screening,
- panel discussion, and
- reception.
After the screenings, we encourage moderating an engaging panel discussion with the audience to unpack the films. In addition to key voices from your networks, we are able to invite other special guests such as co-producer of the Digging In documentary (plus narrator of our Soil Wealth film) and Croatan Institute Board member Masika Henson. See the event we hosted in Brookline, MA in 2024 for inspiration.
We also recommend a space to mingle and network, potentially holding a reception before the screening or after the screening and panel.
Our network expands across the U.S., so we are open to co-developing an event with you to highlight not only the films but also the ways local efforts are accelerating change in food, fiber, and forest systems.
