Research, Action, and Insights for Social and Environmental Returns

Croatan Institute’s Research, Action, and Insights for Social and Environmental Returns (RAISER) is an interactive platform curating our rigorous, cutting-edge research on total portfolio approaches to social and environmental impact investing across asset classes and themes.

What we offer

RAISER is designed for investors, businesses, and researchers seeking to generate greater social and environmental impact. The tools are tailored to specific impact investing issue areas such as: racial equity, regenerative agriculture, climate change and human rights.

Our RAISER tool is being reinvented to highlight our rigorous research, including giving access to a powerful database of investable products across asset classes. As a platform for impact and sustainable investing insights, RAISER can be used to identify top transformative financial products across social equity and ecological resilience themes.

The RAISER research tools are focused on providing insight into our research on specific impact investing issue areas across asset classes. While not claiming to be comprehensive, the RAISER database is shining a spotlight on our rigorous investment research on both racial equity and on sustainable and regenerative agriculture, with future work to focus on issues like climate change and human rights.

Our Methodology

Croatan Institute’s Investor Resources database identifies investable products across asset classes. The food and agriculture and racial equity datasets were compiled from publicly available data across asset classes. The database includes both open and closed investable products.  In the racial equity dataset, both asset managers and investment advisors were included if they met one of the three racial equity strategies listed below. Users can filter by Racial Equity or Food & Ag investment themes, and filter within themes through additional criteria. Users can also search by All Firms or All Products
