Mr. Brooks serves as the Beginning Farmer Regional Coordinator for USDA/Farm Service Agency. In this role, he coordinates and implements agency-wide outreach activities to beginning farmers, ranchers and stakeholders who can benefit from the agency’s programs and services. He previously has served as a Farm Loan Officer for over 10 years and before that as a temporary worker in the Administrative division of the Georgia state FSA office while attending graduate school. During his undergraduate studies he interned in the Brooks Co. (GA) FSA field office during summer and Christmas breaks. Rodney attained a B. S. and M. S. degree in Agricultural Economics from Fort Valley State University and the University of Georgia, respectively. Currently, he is detailed to the House Agriculture Committee as a policy staffer since May 2021.
