Tim Beard has more than 35 years of experience with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS). Tim’s extensive experience has provided him with a well-rounded background in natural resources and excellent knowledge of the agency’s programs, policies, and procedures. He has served in many positions within NRCS, starting with the Soil Conservation Service in 1988 as a Soil Conservation Technician in Fulton County, New York. He has worked in various positions in six different states and national headquarters (Washington D.C.). He has served as State Conservationist in North Carolina for 10 years.
Tim is a native of Harlem, Georgia. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering Technology from Fort Valley State College (currently Fort Valley State University). Tim enjoys golfing and spending time with family and friends.
