WealthWorks Accelerating Impact

A part of WealthWorks, the Accelerating Impact project is aimed at articulating the role of finance in supporting WealthWorks value chains in rural areas. Over two years, this project, housed at Tellus Institute and continued at Croatan Institute, has worked with ten projects on the ground in Central Appalachia and the Deep South, doing assessments of financing needs and assisting projects in advancing toward their financing goals. The goal of this report series is to advance the initiative’s broad aim of creating a comprehensive framework of community investing, ownership, and wealth control models that enhance the social, ecological, and economic well-being of rural areas.
